Our Pool Building Process

Building or remodeling a pool is a big project, but the process shouldn’t feel confusing.

From the first site visit until the work is done, we’ll keep you informed about what’s happening, what’s next, and any decisions along the way.

01. On-Site Consultation

We’ll meet with you at your property to talk through your project, how you want to use the space, your priorities, and your budget. We’ll also take a look at the site itself, including access, elevation, existing structures, and other conditions that may affect the project.

This initial consultation is free and gives us both a chance to make sure Pool Sharp is the right fit for your project.

02. Design & Proposal

After the initial consultation, we’ll help define the scope of your project and talk through the direction that makes the most sense for your property, priorities, and budget.

Depending on the project, this phase may include preliminary pricing, design development, material selections, revisions, and a more detailed proposal. We’ll walk you through the next steps so you know what to expect before moving forward.

03. Pre-Construction

Once the design, scope, and contract are finalized, we’ll prepare the project for construction. Depending on the project, this may include engineering, permitting, material selections, and scheduling.

We’ll also make sure you know what to expect before work begins, including site access and the major phases of construction.

04. Construction

This is where the plans start becoming your backyard.

New pool construction typically moves through layout, excavation, steel, plumbing, electrical, shotcrete, tile and coping, decking, equipment installation, and interior finish. Remodel projects follow the construction sequence appropriate for their scope.

Throughout construction, we’ll keep you updated on progress, scheduling, and anything that needs your input.

05. Pool Start-Up & Handoff

Once construction is complete and the pool is filled, we’ll get everything ready for you to enjoy.

For new pools, we’ll schedule β€œPool School” to walk you through your equipment, automation, basic pool care, and anything else you need to know about operating your new pool.

For remodel projects, the final steps will depend on the scope of work and may include pool start-up, equipment set-up, or other project-specific needs.

06. Enjoy Your Pool

Then the backyard is yours again.

Whether you built a completely new pool or gave an existing one a new life, this is the part we’ve been working toward: handing over a finished space that feels like it belongs with your home and is ready to be enjoyed.
